Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, driving for days through deserts, finally being prompted, I started my hiking. No trails to follow, but promptings. I came across this ancient canyon with caves and ruins, finding myself surrounded by natives along the rims of these canyons without any warning. They let me walk right into their territory without any shooting arrows towards me, hidden as they reveal themselves, like a heartbeat of thunder as the warriors, they were weathered with battle scars, faded warpaint using their unique ability to hide themselves in the elements, rapping along the canyon walls while still standing gardening of their sacred territory. Hand out with them for a while; they gave me the best place to stand to get all three of them together. Looking like thunder they reward me with this unbelievably powerful photo.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, Navajo slot canyons. The spiritual promptings move much faster here like swift moving echoes as the light dashing through these canyon walls like wind and rushing waters. Walking along as the wind and light were dashing through this sky slot in this canyon. I was prompted to watch as I started to see several Native spirits appearing along these canyon walls. Seeing a Native warrior stand along the back wall with a large head, above him a coyote or wolf-shaped head over top of this warrior. May symbolize a headdress or shapeshifting, which is part of Navajo culture. Across from them, a tall Native woman glowing, her long hair flowing along these canyon walls revealing her beauty, I felt this was a sacred spot. As I watched taking several shots seeing a body shape in the shifting lights, I captured this Native Chief appearing wearing a feathered headdress revealing his power.

I spent days walking through uncharted beautiful deserts with striking canyon landscapes that touch the sky trying to catch the mysteries of what hangs along the canyon’s walls reflecting their spiritual stories of the ancient tribes that once walked here. This discovery was an unforgettable experience. After listening to the promptings of native spirits, I walked past it several times without seeing what was in plain sight. This native chief was a master of the art of camouflage using his unique ability to hide in plain sight due to his adaptability, knowledge of the land, and keen ability to blend in and survive for so long. In this unforgiving desert as the sun rays flooded along this canyon wall I could feel the power of his spirit revealing himself as a truly hidden masterpiece his tribal colors and weather torn feathers blended in to the art of the sacred landscape. The ancient spiritual whispers move much faster in these canyons as it echoes through these canyons like wind and rushing water searching for its mysteries along these red Navajo sandstone canyon walls. Deep in these narrows feeling prompted to focus on this lit sky hole appearing, taking several shots as the wind was flowing through here, I was prompted to move in an area that was blocking the light. After several whispers, I finally did so, taking several shots not knowing what I got, I took a minute to check out the pics, then I saw it, Chief. Navajo Spirit Ghost Chief with his long feathered warbonnet running down his back along the glowing wall revealing his power. I could not believe it. I thank him for his promptings. Out searching for arrowheads along the shoreline, the spirit prompted me to look up across the lake as most of the storm clouds passed. Seeing a beautiful cloudy blue skyline, hidden along this skyline was this amazing cloud-shaped woman who looked like the Queen of the Sky. Having my cell, I captured this, as she was floating by before these smoke signals disappeared in the sky.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, exploring and searching off the grid in remote areas for weeks with no trails to follow but small promptings, As I was hiking across several canyons and through river beds finding broken arrow heads, looking far off seeing this canyon getting promptings to search in it a days hike away. When I finally arrived, I was getting several promptings that this place was being watched over by the ancient native gardens here as they were revealing sacred spots, taking several pics. As I was walking, I felt a thundering echo. This ancient native chief appeared feeling his power rush through me, still standing tall and powerful, wearing a headdress with many ancient symbols and markings weathered away on and around him. Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, being prompted to search an area of the Rocky Mountains, a mountain range that I have been to several times throughout the years but only found petroglyphs nearby. As I spent most of the day hiking around this mountain, wanting to move on, the spirit was telling me differently. As the evening approached, the spirit prompted me to cross over the valley and watch the mountain. As the sun was setting, hitting this mountain, waking it up, its spirit hit me like lightning transforming into a native warrior in its shadows revealing his war cry, its buckskin bone armor breastplate and his eyes looking right at me with weathered face and head feather. I could not believe it. “I took a million shots,” knowing he would disappear in minutes without a trace as if he was never here in this sacred spot. This was one of the few shots I took before he disappeared off into the sunset. Having been here several times in the past, learning how skillful and powerful he was in hiding in the landscape.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden Native legends, off the grid for days searching with no trails, just a sundial and spiritual promptings to follow here in this maze of canyons and endless desert. Miles before I even entered this native’s territory, I was receiving echos from this chief. He was destined to get his photo captured and making sure of it, even revealing himself from afar, entering his territory with promptings like lighting. I started taking his photos seeing he was tall as the sky and covered with patches of red war paint still existing revealing his strength from past battles. The sun and timing were perfect. As if he had control of my lens and over the elements to capture how he wanted to be revealed as a powerful picture as a Chief. Hearing in the wind WE ARE STILL HERE echoing through these canyons awakening up his tribe which kept themselves hidden in these territories.

Feeling it will reveal other new discoveries and hidden mysteries. These spiritual promptings move much faster here through these canyons the same way they are shaped swiftly like wind and rushing waters. Seeing for myself how the ancient spirits here used the elements in these Navajo lands using the wind and water to shape their existence, parts of their history and legends in them leaving many mysteries behind. I was lucky enough to meet one of them as she glowed along these canyon walls as she revealed herself as one of the ancient indigenous spirits. She moved me quickly into a position to take her photos. Deep in these sacred Navajo lands reveals one of its desert ocean pearls, moving gracefully and quickly right by me hearing its echo appearing above me this powerful glowing seahorse moving swiftly through this canyon capturing it on film before disappearing back into the flowing sandy seas.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, exploring and searching off the grid in remote areas for days with no trails to follow but small promptings, leaving behind stacked stones as markers, there were several valleys. I ended up walking through a valley of rattlesnakes which will not be returning back this way. As I was hiking across several plateaus finding obsidian chips and broken arrow heads, I was coming to the edge of a canyon looking around. I noticed something far off along the canyon ridge, feeling prompted to head in that direction. I felt something like a warning, having to ask for promotion to enter this territory. So I did, as I got closer noticing a stone native structure I felt a powerful presence, something I can’t explain. This native revealed himself as a dog soldier along with his TRIBAL markings, will keep this short fearing his warnings. This dog soldier faces the sunsets. His tribal markings on his side were once feared by others; knowing the markings of a dog soldier set him apart as a great warrior. His green tattoos or markings are kept up by the ancient spirits that overlook his sacred territory. Getting this dog soldier’s pic is like walking into a wolf pack territory and coming out alive.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, exploring and searching remote areas for days keeping my eyes out for snakes and arrows with no trails to follow the small promptings leaving behind trail markers, crossing several canyons and valleys. Then I saw this tall narrow rock formation. I could hear its spirit echo to take his picture, telling him you are too far away. There was no good shot at the time so I kept walking using the sundial as I circled around this canyon finding broken arrow heads. That night I knew I had to follow the prompting I felt so the next day I headed down this valley following the river walking with the ancient ones. I could finally see the same tall narrow rock formation from a distance that called to me yesterday listening to its echoes as I kept hiking, losing sight of it for a while, I headed his way as I hiked up around this rock formation. A powerful chief wearing a war bonnet appeared with faded tribal colors facing the west into the sun with a painted blue sky revealing all his details. I could feel his presence. I sat with him for a while overlooking his territory as he pointed out others, seeing he was not alone. As I studied the landscape to find the best shot to reveal this chief’s power in the landscape around him, I thanked this chief for his photo. I spent the day there visiting other ancient stone natives and their wildlife among them.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, exploring the southwest searching in these canyons for days chasing the uncharted, I came to this canyon’s edge. As I looked around, I noted the best view point; I felt guided by spiritual force in this canyon. I started my hike, taking a day or so to get where I was prompt to go. Walking along the rim of these canyons is incredible, I came across a wild cougar overlooking this canyon valley for his prey, an ancient weathered stone head marking knowing now I was in native territory, I took some photos and started my search. As I arrived, I saw several canyons from this viewpoint. As I climbed out on the top of this rock overlooking this ancient view, the promptings were telling me I was here. As I was along the cliff edge looking and searching, I jumped off the back side. I looked back and felt this native warrior’s presence revealing his power overlooking these canyons with an eagle’s eye view of his territory which stretched beyond sight. Who he allows to enter signaling other scouts back in his day. It was hard to see all his features so I spent the day with him overlooking his territory seeing what mysteries he might share waiting for the sun to reveal this warrior’s power and authority overlooking these sacred canyons.

Then walking out of this cliff’s edge an ancient guardian elephant warrior, as large as the cliffs, aged its trunk as powerful as the stone weathered with battle scars, its piercing eyes revealing its mysteries wearing a crown on its head overlooking its territories.

A big stone chief appeared as I drove past him right along the highway, hearing him again he wanted his photo taken. You probably have a million photos taken here right along the road. So I turned around headed back looking for a good shot as he started to reveal his mysteries of the ancient natives who left their markings. Weathered but strong still stand there covered in red tribal colors, nose reaching the cliff tops, eyes of thunder revealing this warrior overlooking his territory still hearing their drums that once sounded here in the passing thunder clouds as it echos through these desert canyons reflecting the heart beat of their past for all to hear. Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, the ancient world still talks. Spent several days around the Great Lakes of North America known for its native history. Walking along the shorelines I found myself walking right into uncharted tribal territory. Receiving several promptings then received many other different promptings as I looked around. I started to see a glimpse of several natives appearing, Feeling the power of this sacred place looking around and seeing they were aged and weathered withstanding time along these shorelines, I focused on the first promptings I received, taking several shots, learning he was one of the chiefs here. Wanting to hurry before they disappear, moving to the other native who was slowly appearing, ready to take the shot. This native prompted me to hold and wait, as the natural light slowly highlighted the details of this ancient, incredible masterpiece of art, stone and sun. Feeling his power as I saw the feathers appear in full detail taking the shots before this chief disappeared. They said there was a whole tribe of us here wanting their photos taken. Looking around some did not make it through the harsh high tides here. I chose this one for my galleries named Chief High Tide.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, searching for any surviving ancient mysteries in territories uncharted in the deserts of Arizona, having circled a few locations on my maps feeling inspired to go hiking. Headed out watching the storm clouds roll across this desert, hiking in and out of canyons trying to hear the pulse of forgotten paths and legends to discover, Hiking along finding walls of petroglyphs taking shots of each one seeing what stories they tell. Feeling I was not alone and knowing now I was walking on ancient indigenous trails. Trying to follow the pulse of these paths walking along here an echo I search looking around see nothing I keep walking I felt inspired to head back. I felt I walked past something, remaining unseen and undetected, being hidden so well; as I was hiking keeping my eyes fixed on where I was standing. Wow, a hidden guarding in these canyons right where I was standing. A Sentinel weathered, covered in tribal colors with patches of war paint, eyes slanted ability to see all who enter these canyons as tall as the canyon walls, its shelf a warrior. As I could feel he was skilled with the spear, and having many hidden along these narrow canyon walls surviving many battles. He could have taken my life at any time but instead he let me live to take his photo and tell his story.

Territories Uncharted searching for hidden legends, exploring and searching off the grid in remote areas searching for the invisible hidden guardians and legends of the ancients. Hiking in a place that felt like I was walking in another world, walking through amazing rolling formations as the sun was peeking above the cliffs, hearing the whispers to search in this place. Keeping an eye on my sundial, as the sun was moving I saw the invisible become visible as the white rolling snow-like sandstone revealed these ancient giant Yetis sleeping, as the chill ran through me keeping my silence getting my shots in fear of waking them before I took my pitchers.
